The person behind the practice

Hi, I’m Amanda.

Founder of Moonflower Skin Lab. A former architecture and construction executive. And someone who believes skincare should feel like it’s for you.

I didn’t always
feel at home here.

I was a tomboy who barely wore makeup and spent most of my career climbing the ladder to become an executive in architecture and construction. But I also grew up in salons. I knew that world, and I knew how easy it could be to walk into a spa or salon and immediately feel like you didn’t quite belong there.

I created Moonflower to be different. It’s skincare for people with full lives, stressed professionals, parents, business owners, and anyone who carries a lot and could use a place to put some of it down for a while.

My approach combines corrective, clinical skincare with a more holistic view of what’s happening in the body, with a special focus on lymphatic drainage, facial tension and sculpting.

I’m also big on education. I want you to understand what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and what actually makes sense for your skin, not feel like you need to know an encyclopedia of skincare ingredients to take care of yourself.

You don’t have to know the right words. You don’t have to have a 12-step routine. And you definitely don’t have to become someone else to belong here.

Come as you are. We’ll explore your skincare needs and develop a strategy that works for you.

Our philosophy

Skincare for all.

Approachable. Nonjudgmental. Built around the person in front of us.

Thoughtful by nature

Good care.
Real life.

Moonflower is intentionally a small practice. There’s space for conversation, thoughtful hands-on work and a routine that can fit around everything else you do.

The same philosophy carries into waxing: your body and your hair growth deserve care without social stigma or judgment, and without feeling rushed. There’s time to ask questions, share what you need and feel comfortable.
